Active Shooter (Hill Co, Covington)

Structure Fire, Active Shooter w/ Shots Fired (Hill Co, Covington)
*DELAYED* for officer safety
Hill County Sheriffs, DPS troopers, and other law enforcement have just ended a very tense standoff with an armed individual off Private Road 149 near HCR 1426 northwest of Covington. Individual armed with a long gun repeatedly fired multiple shots at officers and an overhead DPS helicopter. A structure on the property is also on fire. Covington FD is staged. Suspect called 9-1-1 and reported “he was under attack.”
11:00pm – McLennan County SWAT almost on the scene.
11:25pm – Temporary flight restriction requested over the scene.
12:09am – DPS 106 advising the suspect has laid down. Helicopter has good cover if officers want to go ahead and approach the suspect.

12:11am – SUSPECT IN CUSTODY. Incredible job to all officers on scene. And hats off to DPS-106 helo!
12:23am – 2nd suspect discovered in the house. Officers have taken this suspect into custody.

Structure Fire (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth FD, MedStar on scene of a structure fire with 4 victims seriously to critically injured in the 6000 block of Rockdale Road. CareFlite has been launched.

Fort Worth Fire advising 4 patients between ages of 2-14. 3 conscious, 1 by CF air with CPR in progress.

Overnight 2 Alarm Fire (Grand Prairie)

This morning around 1:50a.m., Grand Prairie FD/PD were dispatched to a possible house fire in the 5200 block of Aberdean Trail. GPPD first on scene advised fire in the back of the house. FD units first on scene reported heavy smoke showing from the 1 story residential home. Battalion 2 was on scene shortly thereafter with heavy fire showing thru the roof. The fire escalated to 2 alarms.

Search (Grand Prairie)

Grand Prairie PD with assistance from DPS-101 helicopter and K-9 are searching for an armed robbery suspect in a wooded area near I20 & Carrier Pkwy. 1 in custody, 1 on the loose.

Grass Fire / SWAT (Dallas)

Engine 10 is on scene of a possible grass fire at N Forty Place and Frankford Rd. DPD advising they are responding to assist with a man shooting a gun at the firetruck.

*UPDATE – This is now a major police incident and we will not be providing updates to protect officer safety. All you need to know is to avoid the area.

Dallas PD says: Initial reports were that “man with gun actively shooting…shot 15 rounds as engine drove by”. Engine was not struck. Suspect @ N. 40 & Frankford was said to be wearing blue shirt & as white towel or bandanna on head.
