Fatal Stabbing (Grandview)

There was a fatal stabbing last evening at an apartment unit in the 500 block of W. Criner Street (Westview Apartments). According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office, the victim, a mid-50s year old male, died of a stab wound to the chest. His death was ruled a homicide.


Fatal Shooting (Grand Prairie)

At approximately 11:55 pm Saturday, Grand Prairie Police were called to the 4700 block of Chaucer Court for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male with a gunshot wound. The suspect was still at the location, and was taken into custody without incident. CPR was initiated on the victim by officers, and continued by the Grand Prairie Fire Department Paramedics. The victim was transported to Medical Center of Arlington, where he was later pronounced deceased. According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, the homicide victim was a mid-40s year old male with a fatal gun shot wound to the abdomen.


2 Alarm Fire Update – Fatality (Hurst)

2 Alarm Fire Update (Hurst) Hurst FD along with mutual aid from Colleyville, NRH, Ft Worth, Euless, Grapevine, Bedford and Haltom City are working a fatality fire in the 800 block of Crystal Lane. According to dispatch, gunshots were going off prior to FD’s arrival. Fire Marshall has been requested to the scene. A2


Working House Fire (Hurst)

1 Alarm Fire (Hurst) Battalion 20, Engine 201 on scene in the 800 block of Crystal Lane with a large 2 story brick residence with heavy smoke showing. PD advising FD to stage. Gunshots going off at the location. Colleyville and NRH are on scene mutual aid. A2


Police Incident (Itasca)

NOT DFW – Itasca, TX – *DELAYED* for personnel safety – A police pursuit and subsequent bomb threat prompted several evacuations in the town of Itasca (Hill County south of DFW). DPS was involved in a police pursuit this morning which ended in Itasca. The suspect, who reportedly has military background, was taken into custody, but a bomb threat in the vehicle was discovered. The pursuit ended around or at the elementary school on N. Files Street. At this time, it is reported that the situation has been resolved. No other details.
