A small airplane has made an emergency landing on Arkansas Lane near Ozark Drive in Grand Prairie. This is just north of the Grand Prairie municipal Airport. The airplane has been successfully towed back to the airport and the road is no longer blocked.

Arlington PD confirms an officer has been shot at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Summit Ave near UTA. One suspect has also been shot. Both transported to hospital. APD says they were assisting Saginaw PD with a warrant when shots were fired.
Battalion 47, Engine 474, Truck 471, Rescue 47 and Haltom City PD are all on scene of a vehicle vs house in the 4500 block of Wisdom Way. Small truck crashed through the front door area of the house. MedStar was on scene, but has been cleared. No major injuries reported.
Mansfield FD and PD are working a major accident on northbound 287 under the Walnut Creek bridge. All northbound lanes are closed.

Update – Plano PD officers have approached the suspect and taken him into custody after vehicle stalled along railroad tracks. Great job to PPD and DPS-101!
We have had multiple inquiries regarding heavy police presence near Arcadia Trail Park in north Fort Worth. We do know that Fort Worth FD and MedStar were called to the scene of a possible gunshot wound victim in the 7400 block of Teal Drive earlier this afternoon. Its best to avoid this area. We will share more information when we get it.
Battalion 4, Engine 24, Quint 24, Engine 14, Rescue 14, MedStar and multiple FWPD are on scene of a major accident with entrapment on northbound 820 near Rosedale. Reported to be a vehicle vs. an 18 wheeler. Northbound 820 closed. Extrication just called complete.

Dallas Fire Rescue is currently working a hi-rise fire in the 1700 block of Commerce Street in Downtown Dallas. Command requested a 2nd alarm due to smoke showing on arrival. Additional units enroute.

Rescue 33, Boat 33, and Texas Task Force 1 swift water teams have rescued 20+ people the past few hours from the Millsap area as well as the Horseshoe Bend community south of Weatherford.
Azle FD is on scene of a fire at a mobile home in Pelican Bay, 1500 block of Lark Court. Reported to be a civilian injury at the scene. Pelican Bay FD and Briar/Reno also on scene.
The latest information we have is that there is a voluntary evacuation notice for residents in the Horseshoe Bend community along the Brazos River. Water levels will continue to rise on the Brazos River prompting this notice. Parker County Emergency Response Team is on scene along with DPS troopers. If you are asked to evacuate, do it!
Alvarado PD is in pursuit on eastbound I20 from I35W in Fort Worth. Very high speeds.
Update – Pursuit ended with crash, in custody at Cockrell Hill and I20. See social media for video.
Plano Engine 13 is on scene of a two car accident with entrapment on Legacy Drive at 121. Engine 13 advising four patients at scene, two with serious injuries. Extrication just completed. Plano Engine 7, Medic 7 and Frisco Quint 3, Medic 3 also on scene to assist.
Azle FD, Reno/Briar FD and law enforcement are on scene of a rollover accident down a ravine near the 12500 block of FM 730 N. Extrication complete. Azle Medic 52 transporting code 3 (lights/siren) into Fort Worth.
Dallas Fire Rescue is working a 2 alarm house fire in the 7100 block of Briarmeadow Drive. Battalion 2 and Engine 37 were first on scene with heavy smoke showing from the attic. Dispatched as a possible person in need of rescue.
Emergency management officials are already reporting flooding on Highway 4 and US-380 in Jack County, Palo Pinto County, and Wise County. Highway 4 is currently closed near the Jack/Palo Pinto county line due to 12-18″ of water over the highway. There are also reports of high water across US-380 in multiple spots between Jacksboro (Jack County) and Runaway Bay (Wise County). *Emergency management also requesting residents in the areas of Clifton and Meridian (Bosque County) to stay home if possible.*
Engine 9 is on scene with a working fire inside a residential structure in the 5700 block of Mansfield Road. Engine 9 reports fire in the attic.

On April 17, 2016 at approximately 3:45 am, East division patrol officers were dispatched to a robbery call at 6101 East Rosedale Street, the Quick Way Food Store. Upon officer’s arrival, they observed a single suspect armed with what appeared to be a rifle inside the location.
During this time, officers were in contact with an employee who was also inside the location. The employee was hiding inside a cooler. Officers set a perimeter and directed the suspect several times over their public address systems to surrender in both English and Spanish.
The suspect raised his weapon several times towards officers. One officer fired a single shot at the suspect, striking him. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.
Officers were able to locate the employee inside the cooler unharmed.
The condition of the suspect is unknown at this time.
Dallas PD and Air-1 are working a vehicle pursuit, last known location on Royal Lane from 75.

Dallas Fire and Police have closed eastbound LBJ near the Dallas N Tollway due to a major accident.
Multiple Dallas PD officers are on the scene of an officer involved shooting in the 4800 block of Columbia Ave. DPD reports no officers injured. The suspect is at large. Very heavy police presence in this area.
Euless PD with assistance from DPS chopper are in the area of S Pipeline Road and Summerbrook Drive working an unknown type incident. Situation seems to be centered around the nearby creek. We will share more details if/when we get them.
Eagle Mountain FD has landed CareFlite at the scene of a major accident with possible entrapment on Morris Dido Newark Road near Bonds Ranch Road. Dispatched as one patient unconscious at the scene.
Update – Medic 21 ground transporting to Texas Health Alliance, FFs on board.

Dallas PD has closed northbound I35E at Kiest due to a major accident. Dallas Fire was dispatched to the scene for a major accident with possible entrapment. Expect some delays in this area.
Dallas Fire and Police are working a major accident involving a Dallas Fire Rescue unit at the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane. Unknown injuries. Avoid this area.
Lewisville FD is working a house fire on Village Drive. Working fire in the garage.
Cleburne FD and PD are working a major accident with a reported vehicle thru a building near N Caddo St and E Henderson St. Battalion 185, Engine 385, Engine 185, Medic 285, Truck 285, CareFlite ground EMS and CPD are all working the scene. Unknown severity of injuries.
Wylie PD and FD have requested the assistance of several area departments for major storm damage throughout the city. All incoming public safety area staging in the area of Highway 78 and Ballard Ave. Significant damage to homes (siding destroyed and windows broken) and vehicles mainly from large hail.
Wise County EMS Medics 1 and 4 along with Rescue 1 working multiple people injured from large hail near Alvord. Most have been reported patients in cars on 287. No major injuries reported.
Severe Weather Alert
1:46pm – The NWS and Storm Prediction Center have issued a Severe Thunderstorm WATCH for all of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding counties until 9pm tonight (areas in blue box included in WATCH). Storms are expected to fire west and northwest of the DFW Metroplex, and move east quickly becoming strong and severe. All lanes of southbound I-35E are closed at McCormick Street due to an accident. Traffic is being directed off the interstate at the McCormick Street exit. This closure is expected to several hours. Drivers should seek alternate routes and expect delays.
Irving FD and PD are on scene of a reported vehicle in the water near Irving fire station #8 in the 600 block of E Las Colinas Blvd. Unknown injuries at this time.
Pecan Plantation FD and EMS have landed Air Evac 69 and CareFlite 9 at the scene of a major accident in the 9600 block of Monticello Drive. Pecan Plantation EMS reported one vehicle with major damage. At least three patients. Three ambulances requested. Both helicopters have landed at the scene.

Arlington PD is investigating a reported train vs pedestrian in the area of Main St west of Cooper St. Victim is deceased on scene. Expect police presence in this area.
Denton Police and Fire working major accident on Fort Worth Dr near Brush Creek Rd. Major injuries. CareFlite on scene.
Battalion 471, Truck 471, Engine 474, MedStar EMS and PD are working a rollover accident with person trapped. Accident will be near David E. Smith Elementary in the 3700 block of Haltom Road. There is a power outage in the area.

Law enforcement is investigating a motorcycle accident on Highway 67 near County Road 317. Multiple reports indicate there may be a fatality on the scene. The crash happened earlier this afternoon.
Officials are investigating a reported aircraft down at the Midway Airport near Waxahachie.

Covington FD and CareFlite ground EMS have landed Air Evac 51 at the FD station for a reported motorcycle accident. Accident reportedly occurred on FM 67 west of town. Serious injuries.

Cleburne FD is on scene of a fire at the sale barn, 3119 N Main Street. Smoke showing on arrival. Reported to be a possible fire in the kitchen area. The fire is under control at this time.

Frisco Quint 3, Medic 3, Plano Engine 7 and DPS troopers are on scene of a reported motorcycle accident eastbound Sam Rayburn Tollway at the Dallas N. Tollway. Frisco Medic 3 ground transporting rider to Medical Center of Plano, code 3 (lights/siren) serious injuries with trauma alert. Major delays on the SRT.
Ennis FD and Ellis County EMS have launched two helicopters to the scene of a major rollover accident, reported to be a vehicle rollover off the roadway along Ensign Road south of Ennis. Reported two trapped. Chief 191 reported one vehicle off the roadway in a creek, major damage. CareFlite 6 and CareFlite 7 both responding to this accident.
Grand Prairie FD is battling a structure fire in the 2000 block of January Lane near 161. Reported to be a commercial building under construction. Expect smoke to be visible.
Dallas Fire Rescue is working a 2 alarm apartment fire in the 3300 block of Lombardy Lane. 2nd alarm units report light smoke still showing from the fire.
The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 4151 Hemphill Street, a party supply store, this morning around 5:20 a.m. FWFD Engine 4 was the first company on scene and reported heavy fire showing. A partial collapse of the structure’s roof occurred shortly after the fire department’s arrival, prompting defensive operations. Firefighters aggressively protected the two businesses that share the building with ‘Jugueteria Nili’, the party supply store. Although the party supply store is a total loss, the adjoining businesses suffered minor smoke damage only. Fire crews will remain on scene until several partially collapsed walls have been demolished and the structure has been declared safe. At this time, no injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Southlake FD will be landing CareFlite for a trauma patient, reported 10+ foot fall from a roof in the 1000 block of LaSalle Lane. CareFlite 8 will be landing shortly.
Johnson County sheriffs are in foot pursuit of a subject in the area of FM 917 and CR 803. DPS helicopter has been requested to help search. We will provide updates when we have them. Please avoid this area.
The Colony PD is investigating a motorcycle accident on 121 near Plano Parkway in front of the Hard Eight BBQ. Confirmed to be a fatality. TCPD recommends everyone to avoid this area.

Arlington PD and SWAT are on scene of an incident in the Lowe’s parking lot off Arbrook Blvd and Scots Legacy Drive. Very heavy police presence including several SWAT officers and the armored personnel carrier. The situation has been resolved. We are working to get more information from APD now and will update when we can. It’s best to avoid this area.
*UPDATE* from Arlington PD: “We responded to a disturbance around 5 p.m. – At some point during the investigation it was determined there was a man that possibly barricaded himself inside a vehicle at the Lowes. We believed the man was armed. Out of an abundance of caution, we locked the store down and blocked entrances to the parking lot. We called in an armored vehicle as the person in the vehicle would not respond to commands. We confirmed around 7:30 p.m. that the occupant in the vehicle is deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
Dallas Fire Rescue is on scene of an apartment fire in the 9800 block of Brockbank. Fire has quickly escalated to 4 alarms. Fire is running in the walls and into the attic of an apartment building. Expect heavy DFR presence.
Several FDs including Azle, Briar/Reno, La Junta, Silver Creek, and more personnel responded to a structure fire in the 1200 block of Trails End St in Pelican Bay. Double wide mobile home fully involved upon FD arrival. The Arson Task Force is on scene to investigate reported two fatalities from this fire.
Hurst FD with the help of NRH FD, Bedford FD, Colleyville FD, Euless FD, and Haltom City FD responded to a structure fire in the 600 block of Timberline Drive at a quadplex residential structure. Prior to arrival two residents were evacuated from an upstairs balcony by another resident. All other residents were evacuated by PD, according to HFD. 2 residents were transported for minor smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fort Worth PD is investigating a double fatality accident that occurred just before 3:00am at 1054 Isbell Road near Ohio Garden Road. It was reported to be in front of the Car Wash. Vehicle vs. tree at high speed with possible entrapment and unconscious occupant. Reports indicate the vehicle split in half. Two patients deceased on the scene.
Last night: 175 and Stark Road- Seagoville Engine 1 and Engine 2 on location with a major accident with extrication. Multiple patients transported code 3 to Baylor and Parkland.
