Shooting (Dallas) 9750 Walnut St. – Off-Duty officer was flagged down at listed location by a person that was shot. Suspects were in hoodies & were last seen fleeing SB toward Audelia Road on foot, Air-1 requested & is currently overhead.
Stupid Criminals (Dallas) Abrams Rd. and S. Beacon St. – Suspects hit officer’s vehicle at listed location. After hitting the vehicle suspects fled on foot & were taken into custody at 5600 East Side Avenue.

6800 Shady Brook Lane – Units responding a stabbing call have requested additional elements due to a “large crowd” and “numerous fights” in the parking lot of the location. Additional units incoming. Dallas Fire Rescue is responding to assist.
I45/US75 SB at Live Oak St. – Dallas Fire Rescue, Dallas Police and the Dallas Sheriff’s Department are all responding to a three vehicle major accident with one vehicle confirmed on it’s side. Debris and vehicles are located on both sides of the freeway. Numerous units responding to assist. Expect delays in the area. A4.
Vehicle/Foot Pursuit (Grand Prairie) Info from Grand Prairie PD: “At approximately 10:30am, an officer on routine patrol in the 1600blk of Dalworth Street observed a maroon 1995 GMC Suburban stop the vehicle in the middle of the roadway. As the officer watched this violation, he also observed a female run into the street and get into the passenger side of the vehicle.
Believing that the officer just observed the offense of prostitution, the officer attempted to make an investigative stop on the vehicle. The suspect then fled from the officer at a high rate of speed.
At times the suspect fled the wrong way on major highways such as Loop 12 and IH – 30. Keeping the safety of the public in mind, Officers backed off from the suspect and did not pursue the wrong way on the highways. DPD Air – 1 was then utilized by giving the location of the suspect.
The pursuit continued back into Grand Prairie where the suspect attempted to travel the wrong way on the service road of NB 161 at IH 30. As the suspect made the turn, the vehicle collided with a street sign and the driver fled on foot.
Officers pursued the driver who ran down the embankment to the main lanes of 161 where he was apprehended on highway 161 SB.
During the foot pursuit, a Grand Prairie Officer suffered minor injuries after falling approximately 8-10 feet from the embankment to the highway. That officer was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
The suspect was transported to the Grand Prairie Detention Center. As officers arrived at the detention center, the suspect stated he had swallowed a large amount of narcotics during the pursuit. The suspect was transported to an area hospital by ground ambulance and later released.”

Fatality Fire (Ft Worth) Around 2:00 this morning, Ft Worth FD was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 2600 block of Market Ave. Engine & Quint 12 were first to arrive on scene and reported a single story wood framed residence fully involved with fire extending to a second home and several vehicles. Two fatalities were reported at the scene. Other occupants of the two homes escaped and a couple were transported to the hospital with reported non life threatening injuries. SWAT (Grand Prairie) Info from Grand Prairie Police: “Yesterday (01/21/14) at approximately 6:30pm, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 5700 block of Appalossa Drive. It was reported that the suspect, Julian Ripple W/M 06-18-1991, arrived at his girlfriend’s family home where he stole a firearm. During the commission of the theft, the suspect fired the gun into the air and fled the scene. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
Today at approximately 4:00am, Officers responded to the 1800 block of Family Circle on a disturbance involving the suspect and his family. During the disturbance, the suspect displayed a firearm and assaulted a family member. Fearing for their safety, the family fled the home and called 911.
Officers responded to the scene and attempted to contact the suspect at the home. Once the initial contact failed, a SWAT callout was initiated due to the suspect barricading himself in the house with a firearm.
Grand Prairie SWAT responded and deployed a “throw phone” into the house. Contact was made with the suspect who refused to surrender. After hours of failed negotiations, SWAT officers entered the home and took the suspect into custody.”

Incident (Arlington) Info from Arlington Voice: As many as 30 people were forced to leave an Arlington Cheddar’s near I-20 and Little Road only a short while ago after a customer allegedly discharged pepper spray.
Early information from Lt. Christopher Cook with Arlington police indicates a customer may have been playing a prank or possibly discharged the spray on accident.
About 20 customers and 10 employees reported experiencing respiratory issues and had to vacate the building. EMS arrived on-scene to examine everyone. No injuries were reported. More coming soon…

3 Alarm Fire (Arlington) Overnight, Arlington FD worked a 3 alarm fire at the vacant CATS theatre building in the 1100 blk of W. Randol Mill.
