House Fire (Frisco)

Quint 7, Medic 7 both on scene with heavy smoke showing from a house reportedly struck by lightning in the 11600 block of Beach Street. Quint 7 will be going in for a fast attack. Working fire. Battalion 2, Engine 3, Safety 1, Squad 1, Quint 6, Medic 6, Rescue 1, Quint 4, and Light Air Rehab 1 all assigned to the fire.

Fatality Accident (Ft Worth)

Engine 7, Rescue 14, MedStar and Fort Worth PD are working a fatality accident in the area of 820 and 121. MedStar has ground transported a patient to Harris with critical injuries. One patient is deceased at the scene. Fort Worth PD has this as a possible vehicle vs. pole accident.

Shooting (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth PD is investigating a shooting at/near the JA Cavile apartments in the 5000 block of E. Rosedale. MedStar reports CPR in progress at the scene.

Update – MedStar ground transporting to JPS, major injuries with CPR in progress.

Shooting (Dallas)

Dallas PD is investigating a shooting at the Shell station, 3102 W. Camp Wisdom Road at Marvin D Love Fwy. DPD confirms one is deceased on the scene. Reports indicate the suspect may have fled the scene in a red SUV. The investigation is ongoing.

Apartment Fire (Ft Worth)

Battalion 4, Engine 24, Quint 24 on scene with heavy smoke and fire showing from a 2 story apartment building at 511 Tierney Road. Reports of entrapment have prompted a 2nd alarm response. Multiple additional fire companies are responding, along with east side FWPD officers.

Motorcycle Accident (Ft Worth)

Engine 41, Engine 34, MedStar and Fort Worth PD are on scene of a motorcycle accident near Willow Springs Road and Blue Mound Road W. Reported to be near the school. CareFlite has been launched to the scene for a motorcyclist down, critical injuries with possible amputation.

Manhunt (Grand Prairie)

Grand Prairie PD is searching for a person who fled from the scene of an accident near Hwy 360 and Trinity Blvd. DPS-101 helicopter is overhead. Reports of two people seriously injured in the accident.

Update – DPS-101 has been cleared from the scene

Investigation (Cleburne)

Cleburne PD is investigating shots fired in the area of 900 block James Street. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle was seen fleeing the area. Cleburne officers caught up and stopped the vehicle east of Keene off 67. A weapon has been recovered and a subject is in custody. We have not heard if anyone was shot. Crime Scene investigators have been requested to the scene.

Structure Fire (Dallas)

Battalion 9, Battalion 3, Engine 1 and others on scene with a good amount of smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a 2 story apartment complex in the 5300 block of Fleetwood Oaks Ave. Working fire. Truck 11, Engine 11, Rescue 11, Truck 36,  and Engine 47 all assigned to this fire.

Update – Command has requested 2 alarms to this fire. Battalion 1, Battalion 7, Engine 4, Engine 18, Engine 19, Engine 8, Rescue 19, Rescue 47, Truck 3, Truck 43, Truck 36, USAR 19, and specialty chiefs all assigned to the 2nd alarm.

Update – 3 alarm fire.

Update – 4th alarm has been added to this fire for additional manpower.

Accident w/ Rescue (Frisco)

Frisco Battalion 1, Rescue 1, Truck 1, Quint 5, McKinney Engine 8, Truck 3 and others on scene of a major accident with a vehicle in a creek bed at Custer Rd and Custer Trail. One patient with priority 1 (critical) injuries. Rescue from the creek bed is in progress.

Update – Extrication complete. Frisco Medic 5 ground transporting to MCP.

Violent Situation (Arlington)

Arlington PD on scene of a violent situation near Park Springs and I20. Requesting EMS for a subject with a knife in his back. Circumstances are not confirmed at this time. Reports indicate several offenses have occurred in the area. Subject is now in custody on Fort Hunt Drive

Shooting (Dallas)

4700 Meadow St. – Dallas Police and Fire-Rescue are on scene of a shooting and major accident at the listed location. Units have requested Air 1 for assistance in a search for suspects. Perimeter being established. 

Accident w/ Entrapment (Aledo)

Aledo FD, Willow Park FD, Lifecare EMS and DPS are working a major accident with entrapment in the 2600 block of Old Annetta Road. Extrication has just been completed. Lifecare is ground transporting to JPS, level 1 trauma injuries (reported amputation). Air medical not available due to weather.

Major Accident (Itasca)

Itasca FD working a two vehicle MVA on SH81, 3 miles north of Itasca. It’s reported that an 18 wheeler and a passenger van involved, and the truck has also struck the side of a train.

UPDATE: We’re hearing that the 18 wheeler and passenger vehicle were involved in a head-on collison. The 18 wheeler then veered off of the highway onto the railroad tracks, which run parallel to the highway. The truck was then struck by a train. Two patients being transported by CareFlite ground ambulance.

High Water (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth FD and PD are on scene of very high water over the roadway on Hulen Street near I30. Also reports of high water at Hulen St and Camp Bowie as well as the 2000 block of Chestnut Ave. Turn around – don’t drown.

Rescue (Navarro County)

Navarro County sheriffs are on scene of a swift water rescue on FM 2452 north of 709, south of Corsicana. A vehicle has been submerged by water. Reports of two people in need of rescue clinging to an object.

Update – Two rescued.

Building Collapse (Dallas)

3225 Turtle Creek Blvd- Engine 11 is on scene of an investigation stating they have a large parking garage with multiple levels collapsed. Engine 11 requesting USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) as well as USAR Canine Search and Rescue to this location.

UPDATE: Rehab unit has now been assigned. USAR Canine is headed to the scene.

Accident involving School Bus (Cleburne)

Cleburne FD, PD and CareFlite ground are on scene of a crash involving a school bus on Country Club Road near Prairie Ave. Cleburne PD advising Country Club is shut down between Walnut St and Forrest Ave. No major injuries have been reported.

Update – From a Twitter follower: My son called me to say his bus was in a wreck. JV Football team from Grandview. Everyone is okay.

Early Morning House Fire (The Colony)

At approximately 4:18 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, The Colony Fire Department responded to a major residential structure fire in the 5100 block of Strickland Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the home. The home’s occupants had already evacuated. Crews began an interior fire attack. A second alarm was called at 4:47 a.m. as fire began coming out of the roof. The blaze was extinguished and under control by 5:06 a.m. Firefighters from Carrollton, Lewisville, and Little Elm fire departments provided mutual aid at the scene. Frisco Fire Department provided fill-in assistance at TCFD Station No. 3. One firefighter suffered minor burns. No other injuries were reported. The home suffered major damage, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. (The Colony Fire Department)

Rollover Accident (Frisco)

Prosper Chief 2, Engine 1, Frisco Quint 6, Medic 6, and law enforcement are on scene of a reported large truck rollover at Dallas Pkwy and 380. Reported to be southbound Dallas Parkway at westbound 380. Debris in the roadway. Reported recycling truck. Expect delays in this area.

Grass Fire (Ft Worth)

Battalion 6, Quint 35 on scene of a large grass fire, requesting a full brush alarm off I35W near Golden Triangle Blvd. Engine 37, Engine 38, Engine 34, Engine 11, Brush 11, Brush 34, Brush 37, Quint 38, and Safety 1 all assigned. Smoke will be visible. Unknown size at this time. Haslet FD is also on scene. Saginaw FD and Blue Mound FD both requested.

Flash Flood WATCH (DFW)

The NWS Fort Worth has issued a Flash Flood WATCH for all of north Texas, including the DFW Metroplex, until Sunday. “A prolonged heavy rain event is expected late Thursday night through Saturday evening.” Heavy rain may fall at 2 inches per hour. Overall, areas should expect 2″ – 5″ with isolated amounts of 7″+ by the end of the day on Saturday. Trauma Injury (Waxahachie)

Battalion 1, Engine 1 will be landing CareFlite in downtown Waxahachie to airlift out a trauma injury from an industrial accident at 210 N. Jackson St. Landing zone for CareFlite 3 will be just north of the railroad tracks.

Wildfire Update (Texas)

Wildfire Update (Texas)
We wanted to provide some information on three major fires across the state of Texas. 
1) Some updated information on the wildfire in Bastrop County – The Hidden Pines fire has consumed 4,582 acres at latest count. Some good news/bad news. Good news: the fire is now 70% contained. Bad news: 68 homes have been lost in the blaze, and around 100 more are in danger.
2) New fire – A new wildfire reported this morning has scorched 1,000 acres in Stephens County just southeast of Breckenridge. The fire is only 5% contained. Unfortunately, one home has been lost.
3) The third is a large wildfire burning just north of Huntsville in Walker County. The wildfire has burned 600 acres and is 80% contained. Two homes have been lost.

Major Accident (Anna/Melissa)

 Anna FD, Melissa FD, Collin County EMS and law enforcement on scene of a major accident Highway 5 between Anna and Melissa. Requesting launch of PHI Med 2. Melissa FD to handle the landing zone. Major delays in this area. Extrication is in progress.

Fires (Haltom City)

Two structure fires overnight in Haltom City meant a long morning for several firefighters. The first in the 5700 block of Colorado Court. The second [pictured below] in the 3200 block of Field Street. At the second fire, an occupant was rescued by a neighbor. HCFD arrived on the scene and begin attacking the fire, but encountered a flashover and pulled out of the structure. The rescued occupant was ground transported to Parkland with serious injuries. Mutual aid from Watauga, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Fort Worth FDs.


Head On Collision (Burleson)

Engine 2, Rescue 1 and MedStar are on scene of a reported head on collision with entrapment in front of the Dollar General on 917 just east of 35W. Requesting launch of two helicopters. Multiple patients.

Update – 3 critcal. Two airlifted, one to Cook and one to JPS

Apartment Fire (Dallas)

Truck 37, Engine 37, Engine 55 on scene with heavy fire showing from an apartment complex in the 5800 block of Sandhurst Lane. Working fire declared. Battalion 3, Battalion 4, Engine 17, Truck 17, and Rescue 55 all assigned as well.

Investigation (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth PD with assistance from FWPD Air-1 helicopter are investigating reports of gunshots heard in the area of the 3300 block of NW 27th Street just west of Meacham Airport.

Update – Air-1 has been cleared from the scene.

Fatal Construction Accident (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth PD north side officers and MedStar are on scene of a fatal construction accident at a building under construction in the 6100 block of Old Decatur Road near Longhorn Road. Reported fall from multiple stories. MedStar confirms one deceased on the scene. CareFlite was on standby, but disregarded due to fatality.

Traffic Alert (Keller)

377 is shut down in both directions and will be for some time due to an ongoing gas leak near Tarrant Parkway. ATMOS has arrived on the scene. No evacuations at this time, but closure is expected to last 4-5 hours according to Keller PD.

Accident / Foot Pursuit (Arlington/DWG)

Pantego PD and Dalworthington Gardens PD are on scene of a reported accident involving a school bus near Roosevelt Drive and Bowen Road. Subject ran from the scene and hid in the backyard of a nearby house. Pantego PD has taken the suspect into custody. Arlington FD and EMS are responding to the accident.

Large Grass Fire (Fannin County)

Multiple fire departments from Fannin and Lamar counties have been requested to assist with a large grass fire near FM 100 and SH 79 in the Riverby area. Command has requested assistance from the Texas A&M Forest Service. The fire has spread incredibly quick and is now reported at 1000 acres.

HazMat (Navarro County)

Navarro County sheriffs, Rice PD, and DPS troopers are in the process of closing all lanes of I45 near the 240 mile marker in Rice. Reports of a hazardous materials incident. More information shortly.

Update – Truck carrying zinc shavings is on fire, per Navarro County Emergency Management.

Structure Fire (Saginaw)

Saginaw FD is on scene of a working fire at Saginaw High School. Reports of a working fire inside the school. Evacuations in progress. Laying a line for interior fire attack.

Update – Fire knocked down inside the school. Reports of fire near the auditorium stage.

Tanker Fire (Garland)

PIC – Garland FD is working a tanker fire at a commercial business in the 2300 block of Sherwin Street. Tankers contain hazardous materials. Multiple GFD crews are working to contain the fire. (Picture: @TreWilcox on Twitter)

Structure/Grass Fire (Haslet)

Haslet FD is on scene of a structure fire and grass fire in the 13000 block of Highway 287 near Family Drive. Newark, Saginaw, Blue Mound, Rhome, and Eagle Mountain have all been requested to the fire scene. Heavy black smoke showing on arrival. Fire is threatening a fireworks stand. Avoid this area.
Update – The fireworks stand has caught fire. Fireworks are exploding at the scene.

Update – This is a 3 alarm fire response.

Structure Fire (Burleson)

Engine 173 is on scene of a structure fire at a mobile home park in the 2100 block of S Burleson Blvd (I35W feeder). One mobile home fully involved, at least two exposures threatening to catch. Working fire. Burleson, Briaroaks, Alvarado, Crowley, and Rendon FDs all assigned to this fire.

Structure Fire (Ft Worth)

Multiple Fort Worth FD companies are working a structure fire in the 6700 block of Beaty Street. Quint 24, Engine 24, Engine 20, Engine 7, Engine 3, Truck 14, Battalion 4, Safety 1 all on scene. Squad 2, EMS 99 and MedStar are all responding to assist. Reported detached garage on fire. 

Update – Firefighter with minor burn injuries is being ground transported from the fire scene.

Accident w/ Highway Closure (Denton Co, Corinth)

Northbound and southbound I35E will be closed for “a while” due to a major accident with vehicle fire near Corinth Parkway. Substantial delays and growing. Lake Cities FD is advising the highway will be closed for a while due to hazardous materials. Seek an alternate route!

Update – FD reports oil all over the roadway. Crews are working to get cars turned around and off the interstate.

Update – Denton FD is responding for mutual aid with their hazardous materials unit.

Gas Leak (Frisco)

Quint 4, Engine 2 are on scene of a large gas main struck by construction crews along Lebanon Road near Todd Drive. All lanes of Lebanon Road will be closed. Frisco PD is on scene to assist with traffic control. A full one alarm hazardous materials response has been requested. Avoid this area.

Update – Leak has been stopped.

Major Accident (Farmersville)

Farmersville FD, Collin County EMS and law enforcement are working a major accident in the 1100 block of Willow Lane near FM 2194. Reported vehicle off the roadway. PHI Med 2 has been launched to the location for a patient with multiple traumatic injuries.

Fatality Accident (Justin)

Justin Fire has launched CareFlite to the scene of a reported motorcycle accident with fatality on scene at FM 156 near 5th Street. Single fatality on the scene. CareFlite 2 is inbound to the scene for a 2nd patient. This accident will be in front of the donut shop. Landing zone will be at the First Baptist church.

Grass Fire (Rio Vista)

Brush 276 on scene of a 5 acre grass fire with heavy fuel in Goatneck Community on CR 1117. Additional brush trucks and tankers responding from Rio Vista and Cleburne. 

Update – This fire has grown to 50 acres, plus a few structures threatened. Fire advancing in heavy fuels.

Major Accident (Collin County)

Law enforcement is investigating a major accident in the 1600 block of CR 596 in Josephine. Josephine, Farmersville, Nevada FDs along with EMS units from Collin County EMS and Rockwall County EMS, plus a total of four medical helicopters have all responded to this scene.
