Near-Drowning (Parker County)

Silver Creek Engine 54 and LifeCare EMS Medic 21 are working a near-drowning incident in the 100 block of Rattling Antler Court. Bystander CPR in progress. Successful resuscitation. Major Accident (Johnson County)

Briaroaks FD Engine 73, Squad 73, Rescue 73, CareFlite ground EMS and law enforcement are all on scene of a major accident at FM 917 and E Renfro, requesting CareFlite air respond to the scene. CareFlite 6 is inbound to the scene. Two ground ambulances requested. At least two vehicles involved, major damage.

Update – Second accident just dispatched to 7400 block FM 917 near Forgotten Lane, motorcycle involved. One patient in ditch per Engine 173.

Update – CareFlite 6 airlifting to Harris downtown.

High Rise Fire (Downtown Dallas)

Battalion 1, Engine 18 both on scene with smoke showing from a high rise building in downtown near the 1200 block of Main Street. A 2nd alarm has been requested to the scene. Reported smoke showing from the 3rd or 4th floor.

*Update – Just a vent hood from the building. No fire.

Investigation (Arlington)

*Delayed for personnel safety* Arlington FD and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team has cleared a suspicious package at the Walmart located near US-287 and Little Rd. The store was evacuated and essentially shut down while AFD units handled the investigation. Nothing dangerous was located. All clear given. You may now enter and purchase your bread and milk.

House Fire (Plano)

Engine 13, Engine 9 are both on scene with fire thru the roof of a house in the 7000 block of Teal Crest Drive. Working fire. Battalion 1, Battalion 2, Engine 12, Engine 7, Medic 9, Truck 5, and Truck 8 all assigned to the fire.

Foot Pursuit (Dallas)

Dallas ISD Police are currently in a foot pursuit with 3 individuals who bailed following a short vehicle pursuit at N. Beckley Ave. and Madison Ave.. Three additional suspects have been taken into custody. Suspects reportedly armed. Perimeter being set and additional units responding code 3 (lights/siren). DPD has been requested to assist.

Vehicle Fire (Burleson)

Engine 3, Rescue 1, Alvarado FD Engine 279, MedStar, and Burleson PD all on scene of a fully involved vehicle fire with reported injuries along northbound I35W just north of Bethesda Rd. CareFlite is on standby at this time.

Vehicle vs House (Haltom City)

Battalion 47, Engine 474, Truck 471, Rescue 47 and Haltom City PD are all on scene of a vehicle vs house in the 4500 block of Wisdom Way. Small truck crashed through the front door area of the house. MedStar was on scene, but has been cleared. No major injuries reported.

Hot Pursuit (Plano)

Plano PD and DPS-101 helicopter are in pursuit of a vehicle on Grandview Dr from Highgate Dr.

Update – Plano PD officers have approached the suspect and taken him into custody after vehicle stalled along railroad tracks. Great job to PPD and DPS-101!

Investigation (Ft Worth)

We have had multiple inquiries regarding heavy police presence near Arcadia Trail Park in north Fort Worth. We do know that Fort Worth FD and MedStar were called to the scene of a possible gunshot wound victim in the 7400 block of Teal Drive earlier this afternoon. Its best to avoid this area. We will share more information when we get it.

Accident w/ Entrapment (Ft Worth)

Battalion 4, Engine 24, Quint 24, Engine 14, Rescue 14, MedStar and multiple FWPD are on scene of a major accident with entrapment on northbound 820 near Rosedale. Reported to be a vehicle vs. an 18 wheeler. Northbound 820 closed. Extrication just called complete.

Hot Pursuit (Dallas)

Farmers Branch PD and Dallas Sheriffs in pursuit on eastbound I30 from I45. 90 mph speeds.

Update – Both suspects in custody after they bailed near Fyke Rd and Josey Ln. Great job to DPD Air-1, DSO and FBPD!

Evacuation Notice (Parker County)

The latest information we have is that there is a voluntary evacuation notice for residents in the Horseshoe Bend community along the Brazos River. Water levels will continue to rise on the Brazos River prompting this notice. Parker County Emergency Response Team is on scene along with DPS troopers. If you are asked to evacuate, do it!

Accident w/ Entrapment (Plano)

Plano Engine 13 is on scene of a two car accident with entrapment on Legacy Drive at 121. Engine 13 advising four patients at scene, two with serious injuries. Extrication just completed. Plano Engine 7, Medic 7 and Frisco Quint 3, Medic 3 also on scene to assist.

2 Alarm Fire (Dallas)

Dallas Fire Rescue is working a 2 alarm house fire in the 7100 block of Briarmeadow Drive. Battalion 2 and Engine 37 were first on scene with heavy smoke showing from the attic. Dispatched as a possible person in need of rescue.

Flooding (N. Texas)

Emergency management officials are already reporting flooding on Highway 4 and US-380 in Jack County, Palo Pinto County, and Wise County. Highway 4 is currently closed near the Jack/Palo Pinto county line due to 12-18″ of water over the highway. There are also reports of high water across US-380 in multiple spots between Jacksboro (Jack County) and Runaway Bay (Wise County). *Emergency management also requesting residents in the areas of Clifton and Meridian (Bosque County) to stay home if possible.*

House Fire (Arlington)

Engine 9 is on scene with a working fire inside a residential structure in the 5700 block of Mansfield Road. Engine 9 reports fire in the attic.

Update – Small fire under control, Truck 9 and Engine 9 will be able to handle

Officer Involved Shooting (Ft Worth)

On April 17, 2016 at approximately 3:45 am, East division patrol officers were dispatched to a robbery call at 6101 East Rosedale Street, the Quick Way Food Store. Upon officer’s arrival, they observed a single suspect armed with what appeared to be a rifle inside the location.
During this time, officers were in contact with an employee who was also inside the location. The employee was hiding inside a cooler. Officers set a perimeter and directed the suspect several times over their public address systems to surrender in both English and Spanish.
The suspect raised his weapon several times towards officers. One officer fired a single shot at the suspect, striking him. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.
Officers were able to locate the employee inside the cooler unharmed.
The condition of the suspect is unknown at this time.

Police Incident (Euless)

Euless PD with assistance from DPS chopper are in the area of S Pipeline Road and Summerbrook Drive working an unknown type incident. Situation seems to be centered around the nearby creek. We will share more details if/when we get them.

Rollover w/ Entrapment (Ft Worth)

Battalion 4, Engine 14, Rescue 14, multiple MedStar units and FWPD are on scene of a reported rollover accident with entrapment in the 5700 block of E. Rosedale St. west of 820. Quint 24 and Engine 24 both responding to assist. CareFlite was launched, but has been disregarded.

Update – CareFlite has now been requested to the scene. MedStar advising at least three patients, two critical and one serious.

Update – CareFlite airlifted one to JPS.

Vehicle vs Building (Cleburne)

Cleburne FD and PD are working a major accident with a reported vehicle thru a building near N Caddo St and E Henderson St. Battalion 185, Engine 385, Engine 185, Medic 285, Truck 285, CareFlite ground EMS and CPD are all working the scene. Unknown severity of injuries.

Storm Damage (Wylie)

Wylie PD and FD have requested the assistance of several area departments for major storm damage throughout the city. All incoming public safety area staging in the area of Highway 78 and Ballard Ave. Significant damage to homes (siding destroyed and windows broken) and vehicles mainly from large hail.

Severe Weather WATCH (DFW)

Severe Weather Alert

1:46pm – The NWS and Storm Prediction Center have issued a Severe Thunderstorm WATCH for all of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding counties until 9pm tonight (areas in blue box included in WATCH). Storms are expected to fire west and northwest of the DFW Metroplex, and move east quickly becoming strong and severe. Accident w/ Closure (Denton)

All lanes of southbound I-35E are closed at McCormick Street due to an accident. Traffic is being directed off the interstate at the McCormick Street exit. This closure is expected to several hours. Drivers should seek alternate routes and expect delays.

Major Accident (Hood County)

Pecan Plantation FD and EMS have landed Air Evac 69 and CareFlite 9 at the scene of a major accident in the 9600 block of Monticello Drive. Pecan Plantation EMS reported one vehicle with major damage. At least three patients. Three ambulances requested. Both helicopters have landed at the scene.

Accident w/ Entrapment (Haltom City)

Battalion 471, Truck 471, Engine 474, MedStar EMS and PD are working a rollover accident with person trapped. Accident will be near David E. Smith Elementary in the 3700 block of Haltom Road. There is a power outage in the area.

Update – MedStar reports one critical patient

2 Alarm Structure Fire (Ft Worth)

Quint 12 is on scene with at least one building on fire, possibly two, at a commercial pallet facility in the area of N Grove St and N Central Ave. Battalion 2, Battalion 3, Truck 1, Engine 12, Engine 1, Engine 5, Engine 19, Engine 25, Squad 2, Utility 6, and Safety 1 all working the fire.

Update – Command requesting 2 alarms. Battalion 1, Battalion 6, Truck 2, Truck 8, Engine 6, Engine 18, Engine 15, Quint 9, Utility 4, Ops 2, and others assigned.

House Fire (Ft Worth)

Truck 8, Engine 8, and other FWFD units are on scene of a house fire in the 1300 block of Fairmount Ave. Fire showing. Working fire. Engine 5, Engine 1, Engine 10, Engine 2, Squad 2 , Safety 1, and EMS 99 all assigned to this fire.

House Fire (Plano)

Engine 3, Engine 11 both on scene with smoke and fire showing from a house in the 4000 block of Los Robles Drive. Battalion 1 and Truck 1 also on the call. Balance of the box alarm has been disregarded.

Motorcycle Accident (Frisco/Plano)

Frisco Quint 3, Medic 3, Plano Engine 7 and DPS troopers are on scene of a reported motorcycle accident eastbound Sam Rayburn Tollway at the Dallas N. Tollway. Frisco Medic 3 ground transporting rider to Medical Center of Plano, code 3 (lights/siren) serious injuries with trauma alert. Major delays on the SRT.

Rollover w/ Entrapment (Ellis County)

Ennis FD and Ellis County EMS have launched two helicopters to the scene of a major rollover accident, reported to be a vehicle rollover off the roadway along Ensign Road south of Ennis. Reported two trapped. Chief 191 reported one vehicle off the roadway in a creek, major damage. CareFlite 6 and CareFlite 7 both responding to this accident.

Commercial Fire (Ft Worth)

The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 4151 Hemphill Street, a party supply store, this morning around 5:20 a.m. FWFD Engine 4 was the first company on scene and reported heavy fire showing. A partial collapse of the structure’s roof occurred shortly after the fire department’s arrival, prompting defensive operations. Firefighters aggressively protected the two businesses that share the building with ‘Jugueteria Nili’, the party supply store. Although the party supply store is a total loss, the adjoining businesses suffered minor smoke damage only. Fire crews will remain on scene until several partially collapsed walls have been demolished and the structure has been declared safe. At this time, no injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

2 Alarm Apartment Fire (Dallas)

Engine 57, Truck 57 on scene with heavy smoke and fire showing from a multi-story apartment building in the 12300 block of Plano Road. Working fire. Battalion 2, Battalion 4, Engine 29, Engine 48, and Truck 39 all assigned.

Command requesting 2nd alarm. Engine 19 Engine 22 Engine 39 Truck 20 Truck 56 Rescue 33 USAR19 Battalion 3 and Battalion 7 all on the 2nd.

Major Accident (Ft Worth)

Quint 9, Engine 19, MedStar and FWPD are all working a major accident on northbound I35W near Meacham Blvd. CareFlite 6 has been launched to the scene and will be landing in an adjacent field. Expect major delays on the freeway in the northbound lanes.

Update – CareFlite is airlifting to Harris downtown.

SWAT (Arlington)

Arlington PD and SWAT are on scene of an incident in the Lowe’s parking lot off Arbrook Blvd and Scots Legacy Drive. Very heavy police presence including several SWAT officers and the armored personnel carrier. The situation has been resolved. We are working to get more information from APD now and will update when we can. It’s best to avoid this area.

*UPDATE* from Arlington PD: “We responded to a disturbance around 5 p.m. – At some point during the investigation it was determined there was a man that possibly barricaded himself inside a vehicle at the Lowes. We believed the man was armed. Out of an abundance of caution, we locked the store down and blocked entrances to the parking lot. We called in an armored vehicle as the person in the vehicle would not respond to commands. We confirmed around 7:30 p.m. that the occupant in the vehicle is deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

4 Alarm Fire (Dallas)

Dallas Fire Rescue is on scene of an apartment fire in the 9800 block of Brockbank. Fire has quickly escalated to 4 alarms. Fire is running in the walls and into the attic of an apartment building. Expect heavy DFR presence.

*Overnight* Fatality Fire (Tarrant County)

Several FDs including Azle, Briar/Reno, La Junta, Silver Creek, and more personnel responded to a structure fire in the 1200 block of Trails End St in Pelican Bay. Double wide mobile home fully involved upon FD arrival. The Arson Task Force is on scene to investigate reported two fatalities from this fire.

*Overnight* Structure Fire (Hurst)

Hurst FD with the help of NRH FD, Bedford FD, Colleyville FD, Euless FD, and Haltom City FD responded to a structure fire in the 600 block of Timberline Drive at a quadplex residential structure. Prior to arrival two residents were evacuated from an upstairs balcony by another resident. All other residents were evacuated by PD, according to HFD. 2 residents were transported for minor smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

*Overnight* Fatality Accident (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth PD is investigating a double fatality accident that occurred just before 3:00am at 1054 Isbell Road near Ohio Garden Road. It was reported to be in front of the Car Wash. Vehicle vs. tree at high speed with possible entrapment and unconscious occupant. Reports indicate the vehicle split in half. Two patients deceased on the scene.
