Fire (Dallas)

Engine 30 is on scene of a large mulch pile burning in the area of Walnut Hill and Goodnight Ln. Requesting a full alarm response. Heavy smoke visible from this fire.


Apartment Fire (Plano)

Battalion 1 and Engine 6 are on scene with fire and smoke showing from the interior of an apartment building in the 300 block of Legacy Drive. Engine 6 making a fast attack. Evacuation of the building is in progress.


Trauma Injury (Cleburne)

Cleburne Battalion 185, Truck 185, Engine 185, CareFlite ground EMS, and Cleburne PD are on scene of a traumatic injury in the 700 block of Chase Ave. Reported pediatric patient hit by a vehicle. CareFlite air has been launched to the scene. 


Structure Fire (Dallas)

Dallas Fire-Rescue is on scene of a working house fire in the 1400 block of Foxgrove Circle. Unknown sizeup at this time. Battalion 1, Battalion 3, Engine 31, Engine 48, Engine 53, Truck 39, Truck 53, and Rescue 5 all assigned.


Construction Accident (Frisco)

Frisco Fire/EMS are on scene of a reported long fall at a construction site near John Hickman Pkwy. and Frisco Green Ave. Frisco Medic 3 is ground transporting a patient to Medical Center of Plano, trauma alert. Serious and potentially critical injuries reported.


Officer Involved Shooting (Dallas)

On May 12, 2017, at about 8:58 am, Dallas officers from the Crime Response Team responded to the 8300 block of Reva Street after receiving information from undercover officers that a wanted female was at the location. When the uniformed officers arrived, they observed the female they believed to be wanted sitting in the front passenger seat of a vehicle with a male sitting in the front driver seat and another male sitting in the back seat. While officers were attempting to identify the female passenger, the male passenger sitting in the rear seat exited the vehicle after being told repeatedly by officers to remain seated. The male suspect then engaged in a physical confrontation with the officers. The suspect was able to gain control of one of the officer’s taser causing an officer to draw their firearm and shoot the suspect. The suspect was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition. There were no officers injured.


Officer Involved Shooting (Arlington)

Arlington PD is on scene of an officer involved shooting situation secondary to a barricaded person incident near the 600 block of E. Front St. and E. Division St. APD reports they were on scene negotiating with a subject barricaded in a vehicle. At some point, the situation lead to an officer involved shooting. All officers are OK. One suspect has been transported to the hospital, condition unknown. Avoid this area.


18 Wheeler Rollover w/ Fire (Ft Worth)

Battalion 6, Engine 34, Engine 37, Rescue 38, MedStar, and FWPD are all working a major accident involving an overturned 18 wheeler on fire southbound I35W near Golden Triangle. All northbound and southbound lanes are closed according to TxDOT. HazMat has been called to the scene. Expect a long closure. AVOID!


Shooting (Arlington)

Arlington PD and FD/EMS are working a shooting at a restaurant in the 6500 block of S Cooper Street. A crime scene has been established at the Zona Caliente bar and restaurant. At least three injured, two reported to have fatal injuries. AVOIS THIS AREA.
Update – APD confirms two shooting victims, one is believed to be the shooter.


Structure Fire (Mesquite)

Mesquite FD is working a fully involved structure fire in the 1000 block of Tripp Road near N. Galloway Ave. Defensive operations in progress. Reported to be a daycare building. Heavy fire and smoke showing. Avoid this area.


SWAT Incident (Haslet)

*Delayed for officer safety* Law Enforcement has taken a suspect into custody from a barricaded person incident in the Brentwood Estates area of Haslet. The incident had been ongoing since this morning. The suspect has just surrendered and is in police custody. Remember: DFW Scanner delays posting SWAT incidents until they’ve been resolved for officer and personnel safety.


Major Accident (Dallas)

Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police are working a major accident involving at least three vehicles on southbound Preston Road between Spring Valley and Belt Line. Three vehicles involved with major damage. Extrication is in progress. Its best to avoid this area.


Cutting (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth PD is investigating a reported cutting incident at CF Brewer High School, 1025 W. Loop 820 near White Settlement. One person is in custody. A cutting victim has been transported to the hospital in serious condition, per MedStar. The school is on lockdown for precaution.


Officer Involved Shooting (Irving)

The Irving Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at approximately 6:18am in the 1400 block of S. Story Road. Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance after the female victim called 911 to report that the male suspect was trying to kill her with a knife. The suspect had cut the victim and barricaded them both in an upstairs bedroom. When officers arrived on scene they heard screaming from inside the home and forced open an exterior door. Once inside, officers then had to force open a bedroom door and found the suspect holding the victim at knifepoint. The suspect refused to comply with commands to drop two large knifes and release the victim. A less-than-lethal use of force was not effective. Due to the victim and officers being in imminent danger of being seriously injured or killed, one officer discharged his duty weapon striking the suspect. The victim was transported to Parkland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was also transported to Parkland Hospital but was pronounced deceased at approximately 7:15am. The officers involved in the situation were not injured.


Search (North Richland Hills)

North Richland Hills PD has a perimeter set up in the area of Holiday Lane and Mid Cities Blvd. searching for a subject on foot. Aggravated assault suspect. Ground units are reporting the subject jumped a fence near Connie Ln. and Holiday Ln. and ran east towards Sable Ln. There are multiple police officers in the area looking for him. Updates when we have them. If you live in this immediate area, stay inside and call 9-1-1 if you see or hear anything suspicious.


Shooting (Denton)

Denton Police are investigating a reported shooting incident in the woods behind Mack Park near 1700 E McKinney Street. One victim taken to the hospital in unknown condition. After a thorough search by ground and air units, DPD believes the suspect has fled the scene and is no longer in the area. Expect police activity in this area.


Shooting (Ft Worth)

Fort Worth PD is investigating an earlier shooting incident in the parking lot of Ridgmar Mall near 1888 Green Oaks Road. FWPD received a 911 call around 5:40pm stating someone was shooting at a vehicle at the listed location. One person was found with gunshot wounds, and taken by ground ambulance to Harris downtown. The victim has died as result of her injuries. 


SWAT Incident (Hurst)

*Delayed for officer safety* Hurst Police officers have taken a suspect into custody from a police standoff in the 1100 block of Hurstview Drive between Pipeline and Bedford Euless roads. One person was contained inside the residence. Just a few moments ago, the suspect surrendered peacefully and is in custody, according to Hurst Police. The scene is now clear. Reminder: DFW Scanner does not post SWAT incidents while active.


Structure Fire (Arlington)

Battalion 1, Engine 5, and other AFD units are on scene with smoke showing from a two story residential apartment building in the 2500 block of Hollandale Circle. Working fire declared. Engine 5 pulling a line for fire attack.


Active Shooter (Dallas)

Dallas PD is working an active shooter situation near 3200 block of Reynolds Ave in east Dallas. AVOID THIS AREA. Additional updates will be delayed for officer safety. Please do not comment any details.

*UPDATE – Dallas PD confirms one Dallas firefighter has been shot and transported to Baylor Hospital.

2:10pm *UPDATE – Update from City of Dallas: DFR arrived on the scene where a civilian had been shot and immediately began treatment. During this time, the suspect, approached the area then opened fire; ultimately a EMT paramedic was wounded. Observing the condition of the EMT paramedic, DPD transported him to Baylor Hospital where he remains in critical, but stable condition. DPD SWAT is searching for the suspect who they believe is still in the vicinity.

4:13pm – *UPDATE – Dallas Mayor reports the injured DFR paramedic is out of surgery and in the ICU. The first victim, a civilian whom the paramedic was treating on the scene, is also in the ICU. The threat to the neighborhood is over. A police robot located two individuals deceased inside a nearby home; one of these bodies is believed to be the shooter.


Accident w/ Entrapment (Johnson County)

Multiple patients have been airlifted from a major crash a little earlier this morning at Highway 67 and CR 1119 near the Johnson County / Somervell County line. Bono FD, Cleburne FD, Somervell County FD, multiple helicopters and ground ambulances responded to the scene around 8am. Units arrived to find multiple people trapped and at least two vehicles involved. Three CareFlite helicopters landed at the scene and transported patients to area hospitals. Reports of serious injuries.


Accident w/ Entrapment (Alvarado)

Alvarado FD, PD, and CareFlite ground Medic 903 are on scene of a major accident with entrapment near Percifield Trail South and Highway 67. Medic 903 reported at least two vehicles involved, one in the ditch with major damage and entrapment. CareFlite will be landing at the scene shortly.


Major Accident (Kaufman County)

Terrell FD, Forney FD, CareFlite ground EMS, and DPS troopers are on scene of a major accident eastbound Highway 80 between Terrell and Forney. Air medical has been launched to the scene. Major delays on both sides of Highway 80. Its best to find another route.


Water Emergency (Frisco)

Several Frisco Fire and EMS units are on scene of a water pipe break at Baylor Scott and White Centennial Hospital. Multiple ambulances and the AmBus multi-patient vehicle have been requested to the scene to assist with patient evacuation from the facility. Frisco’s Command Unit is also responding to the scene.


Apartment Fire (Ft Worth)

Battalion 5, Quint 23, Engine 23, and other FWFD units are on scene of a working fire in an apartment building in the 4300 block of Old Benbrook Road. Battalion 1, Quint 16, Engine 16, Engine 18, Engine 39, Engine 30, Safety 1, and Utility 7 all assigned to the fire.


Major Accident (Dallas)

Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police are working a vehicle vs. 18 wheeler crash on westbound 635 near Greenville Ave. All lanes of WB 635 are closed due to this crash. Dispatched as possible entrapment. Use extreme caution in this area, especially with a severe storm effecting the area.


Fatality Accident (Arlington)

The Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash investigation involving a motorcycle in the 4600 block of W. Sublett Road around 7:17 p.m. Investigators believe that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound and attempted to pass another vehicle when the operator lost control and struck a curb. The motorcycle operator was ejected and struck a pole near the roadway. The operator was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.


Major Accident (Alvarado)

Alvarado FD, CareFlite ground EMS, and multiple law enforcement are on scene of a major accident involving two vehicles on Highway 67 between Alvarado and Keene. CareFlite has landed at the scene for air transport.

CareFlite is airlifting one patient to Harris downtown. Restrained driver in a vehicle crash with extrication.


Officer Involved Shooting (Ft Worth)

Several FWPD units are on scene of an officer involved shooting near the 3900 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. on the east side. FWPD was called to the location at around 5:20pm to investigate someone walking around with a gun, possibly intoxicated. The situation has transpired to an officer involved shooting. All officers are OK. More details when released.


Pursuit (Ft Worth)

Dalworthington Gardens PD, Pantego PD, and Arlington PD are on scene of a vehicle pursuit that ended near I30 and Cooks Lane.At least one suspect (possibly more) has fled on foot in the woods south of I30 between Ederville Road and the interstate. Fort Worth PD’s Air-1 is en route to assist ground units in the search. Arlington PD reports multiple burglary suspects are on the loose: Suspects are a male wearing ball cap, white shirt, blue jeans & a white female pink tank top & a third male suspect black windbreaker.


Traffic Alert (Denton)

Denton PD reports all main lanes of northbound and southbound I35E have been CLOSED due to a downed power line on the roadway near Post Oak Drive. There is no time estimate of reopen. Its best to find another route!


Fatal Incident (Dallas)

Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police are on scene of an unknown situation involving a mobile tower near the 1700 block of Arts Plaza (downtown area). Units are requesting the Medical Examiner for one person deceased on scene. It’s best to avoid this area while emergency crews investigate the scene.

Update – This is a reported crane collapse at the base of a mobile tower. Other details are not known at this time.


Major Accident (Ennis)

Ennis Truck 192, Engine 192, Ellis County Medic 192, and multiple law enforcement are on scene of a major accident southbound I45 near the 287 interchange. Medic 192 reports at least two vehicles involved. Major damage. Air medical launched, but was disregarded. Three ambulances have been called to the scene.


Shooting (Dallas)

Multiple Dallas PD units are working a shooting at a multi-story building in the 8300 block of LBJ Freeway Service Road near Schroeder Road. Units are working to clear the building at this time. This is an active scene. AVOID this area.


18 Wheeler Fire (Waxahachie)

Waxahachie Fire Dept. and Police are on scene of a fully involved 18 wheeler fire on southbound I35E at 287. This will be in front of Baylor Waxahachie hospital. The 18 wheeler is fully engulfed in flames. All southbound lanes are closed. Requesting tankers to the scene for water supply assistance. Its best to avoid this area.


Major Accident (Arlington)

Quint 8, Engine 8, Arlington EMS Medic 8, and Arlington PD are on scene of a major accident westbound I30 just before Cooper St. Medic 8 is ground transporting one patient to JPS. This was dispatched as a major crash with ejection.


Major Accident (Johnson County)

Rio Vista FD, CareFlite ground EMS, and multiple law enforcement are on scene of a major accident in the 2900 block of County Road 1110 near County Road 1219. CareFlite has lifted off the scene transporting one patient into Fort Worth. Dispatched as a vehicle in the ditch with possible entrapment. One person was declared deceased on the scene.


Shooting (Burleson)

Burleson FD and PD along with several other law enforcement are on scene of a reported shooting incident near the Jack in the Box on SW Wilshire. CareFlite will be airlifting one gunshot victim to JPS. Circumstances are not known at this time. Expect heavy police presence in this area.


Fatal Motorcycle Accident (Ft Worth)

Engine 31, Engine 37, MedStar EMS, and multiple Fort Worth PD officers are on scene of a motorcycle accident at N. Beach St. and Heritage Trace Parkway. Reported vehicle and motorcycle involved. One patient is deceased on the scene. A second patient is being transported to JPS with major trauma injuries.


House Explosion (Navarro County)

A little bit outside of our coverage area, but multiple agencies are on scene of a house explosion along Highway 31 near Dawson, TX in south Navarro County. The Navarro County Office of Emergency Management reports four people have been rescued from the house so far, and a 5th rescue is in progress.


Major Accident (Terrell)

Terrell FD, CareFlite ground EMS, and others are on scene of a major accident near FM 986 and CR 249 in far north Kaufman County. CareFlite has landed at the scene for air transport.

Update – CareFlite airlifting one person to Parkland.


18 Wheeler Crash (Denton)

Denton Fire-Rescue and Police are working a major accident involving an 18 wheeler and fuel spill on northbound I35 just north of the I35 E/W split. Only the right lane is open. Major delays extending onto both northbound I35E and I35W.


Rollover Accident (Collin County)

Melissa FD, Anna FD, Collin County EMS, multiple law enforcement are on scene of a rollover accident involving a commercial vehicle on Highway 121 at Highway 5. All lanes of 121 are closed. PHI Med 2 is airlifting a patient to Medical Center of Plano. Possible ejection.


Major Accident (Grand Prairie)

Grand Prairie Fire/EMS and PD are on scene of a reported rollover accident with possible ejection on eastbound I30 at the Belt Line Road exit. Grand Prairie EMS is ground transporting one patient code 3 (lights/siren) to Methodist Dallas. (Information: Grand Prairie Reporter)


Fatal Shooting (Arlington)

The Arlington Police Department responded to a death investigation in the 2200 block of Ridge Run Road around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017. A neighbor called police after a young child had come to the neighbor’s residence to report his mother was not responsive. Officers arrived on scene and located a woman in her mid-20’s deceased with an apparent gunshot wound. The young child was unharmed. 

Investigators are processing the scene and searching for clues that may have led to the shooting death. Anyone with information is asked to contact Homicide Detective Caleb Blank at 817-459-5735. Fatality Accident (Frisco)

Frisco Police Accident Investigators are investigating a fatality motorcycle crash that occurred on Friday, April 14th, 2017 at approximately 5:07 a.m. A motorcycle was travelling eastbound Eldorado Pkwy east of Teel Pkwy when the driver was involved in a crash with two other vehicles. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. No other parties were injured in the crash.
A cause of the crash has not yet been determined and no charges have been filed at this time.


Major Accident (Ellis County)

Waxahachie FD, multiple Ellis County EMS ambulances, and several law enforcement are on scene of a major accident with possible ejection on Highway 287 at Pimlico between Waxahachie and Ennis. One ambulance will be ground transporting a patient to Children’s Dallas, serious injuries. Additional injuries are being assessed. Major delays in this area – seek another route.


Accident w/ Entrapment (Rio Vista)

Rio Vista FD, Cleburne FD, CareFlite ground EMS, and multiple law enforcement officers are on scene of a major accident with reported entrapment on Highway 174 near Fox Run Road between Cleburne and Rio Vista. Reported to be a head-on collision. Avoid this area.

Update – Fatality accident.


Homicide (Ft Worth)

From FWPD: On 04/11/2017, West Division officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of Wellesley Ave. in reference to a shots fired call. Upon arrival, officers located the victim lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment, but did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives are investigating.


Auto Pedestrian (Arlington)

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a reported auto vs. pedestrian crash that occurred this morning at the intersection of Park Springs Blvd and Pleasant Ridge. Arlington EMS ground transported the patient, reported to be a juvenile, to MCA with very serious injuries. APD is still on scene at this intersection to investigate the crash.


Structure Fire (Dallas)

Engine 16, Battalion 6, and other DFR units are working a large metal building on fire in the 3900 block of Singleton Blvd. Heavy smoke will be visible from this fire. Command has requested an additional truck company to the scene.


High Water (McLennan County)

Sheriffs deputies and county fire departments in McLennan County (Waco area) are busy tonight with severe weather. Units report high water on I35 just north of Waco in Elm Mott. FD is on scene of a vehicle reportedly submerged in water on the access road of I35 in Elm Mott, and fire personnel have just been paged to assist with high water threatening a residence also in Elm Mott. There are also accidents along I35 between Hillsboro and Waco. Emergency responders are also dealing with a Tornado Warning on the southeastern part of the county. Busy night for our friends down in the Waco area.


Auto Pedestrian (Ft Worth)

Engine 14, Engine 3, MedStar 36, and east side Fort Worth PD officers are on scene of a reported vehicle vs. pedestrian in the 4100 block of E. Lancaster Ave. MedStar 36 reports CPR is in progress. MedStar 36 is ground transporting the patient to Harris downtown, trauma alert.


House Fire (Ft Worth)

Quint 16, Engine 23, and other FWFD units are on scene with heavy fire showing from a house in the 6400 block of Darwood Ave. Battalion 5, Engine 18, Engine 8, Engine 30, Quint 23, and Safety 1 are all assigned to the fire.


Accident w/ Entrapment (Joshua)

Joshua FD is on scene of a major accident with entrapment on Broadway / Highway 174 near Paula Street. Extrication is in progress. CareFlite air medical has been launched to the scene and will be landing in the roadway. Highway 174 will be closed for landing. Burleson FD is responding to assist along with Johnson County Engine 83.


Structure Fire (Rendon)

Rendon FD is on scene with fire showing from a structure in the 5500 block of Jessica Lane. Working fire. Everman FD, Kennedale FD, Crowley FD, Johnson County St. 82, and Dalworthington Gardens FD are all assisting. Edgecliff Village FD is standing by at Rendon’s station for any calls.


Structure Fire (Briaroaks)

Briaroaks FD, Alvarado FD, Rendon FD, Venus FD, Godley FD, ESD St. 82, and ESS 88 have been working a residential structure fire in the 600 block of S. Briaroaks Road. FD units were first on scene with a fully involved residential structure fire.


Major Accident (Dallas)

Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police are on scene of a multiple vehicle crash involving large trucks on northbound 75 near 635. All lanes have been closed due to this accident. One truck has rolled over. Avoid this area! 


Outdoor Siren Malfunction

FYI: We are getting reports of outdoor warning sirens sounding across Dallas County. There is currently no severe weather in the area.

Update – The sirens have sounded off and on at least three times now. Again, there is no severe weather threatening DFW at this hour. This appears to be a major malfunction. There is no emergency.

Dallas County OEM: System malfunction with City of Dallas siren system. Crews working to fix. No emergency. Please do NOT call 911. Thank you.


SWAT Incident (Grand Prairie)

*Delayed for officer safety* Grand Prairie Police officers and SWAT team members have taken a suspect into custody from a barricaded person situation in the 1800 block of Wedgewood Drive. The suspect, known to the police department, has a history of recent erratic behavior. GPPD was called to the house this morning to handle a disturbance call when the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. SWAT was called to the scene and the incident is now over with the suspect in custody. Great job, Grand Prairie PD!


Apartment Fire (Dallas)

Battalion 4 is on scene with fire showing from a multi-story apartment building in the 9900 block of Forest Lane. Working fire declared. Battalion 2, Engine 22, Engine 28, Engine 57, Rescue 22, Truck 37, and Truck 57 are all assigned to the fire.


Accident w/ Entrapment (Collin County)

Nevada FD, Josephine FD, Farmersville FD, Wylie FD, Collin County EMS, Wylie EMS, and multiple law enforcement are on scene of a major accident with entrapment on Highway 78 near Business 78 in Copeville. CareFlite has been launched to the scene. 

Update – Medic 193 is ground transporting a patient with major injuries, CPR in progress. There is also a reported fatality at this scene.
